In Mundesley-on-Sea, even in the summer, you will find on the beach a quiet and private place of your own. The beach is considered one of the best in Norfolk, with safe swimming for youngsters when the tide is out.
Mundesley has a busy and thriving village centre with shops, cafes, pubs & restaurants and a doctor’s surgery. There is a range of gastronomic options, from the feted fish and chip shop to substantial pub and hotel meals, offering such delicacies as locally caught crab and lobster. Often a must for our younger visitors is a day out at the American Theme Park or Pleasurewood Hills at Great Yarmouth, full of hair-raising rides and excitement.
Around the village of Mundesley itself you will find facilities for golf, riding and fishing, or you may prefer to enjoy a stroll around the countryside and discover some of Norfolk’s old flint-built villages, churches and pubs.

The historic city of Norwich has a fascinating ancient cathedral and is a thriving modern metropolis.
Cromer is a traditional North Norfolk seaside resort. Cromer Pier has a Lifeboat Station and Pavilion Theatre. The exciting Amazona Zoo is on the outskirts of Cromer.
Sheringham, another traditional seaside town, is home of the North Norfolk Railway (The Poppy Line).
Holt is Market Town with may independant shops including the legendary Bakers and Larners Food Hall since 1770.
Wroxham is considered the capital of the Norfolk Broads and has been frequented by holidaymakers since the late 1800’s. It is especially popular with those seeking a boating holiday, with its numerous boat hire companies offering a vast range of vessel.

Nature Reserves
The North Norfolk Wildlife Trust offers brilliant information about nature reserves in North Norfolk. These are some of their nature reserves:
Salthouse Marshes: One of a string of important birding sites along the north Norfolk coast.
Cley Marshes: Internationally reputed as a premier birdwatching site.
Thursford Wood
The oaks here are some of the oldest in the county and could be over 500 years old.
Hickling Broad: The largest expanse of open water in the Broads system, with a great deal to see on foot or by boat.
Martham Broad: This fabulous National Nature Reserve is one of the best sites in Broadland.
